Privacy Policy
DTTAU is a cloud tracker, so unlike our other games it does hold some of your data — the things you log, and the account you log them under. This page explains exactly what, and the short version is: it's yours, we sync it, and we never sell it. Operated by Screwcap Games, LLC.
We want your data to be useful to you across your devices. We do not want it for anyone else. Those are different goals, and this page is us keeping them apart.
1. Account & sign-in
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile (name/avatar) to create and secure your account and to sync your data. We don't get your Google password, and we don't post anything to your Google account.
2. What you log
The trips, runs, rides, workouts, books, and other entries you record are stored in our cloud database (Supabase) tied to your account, so they follow you across devices. This is your data. You can view, edit, export, or delete it.
3. Strava & other integrations
If you connect Strava (or another service), we import only the activity data you authorize, to save you re-typing it. You can disconnect at any time, which stops further import. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing the data on its side.
4. Analytics & measurement
We use Plausible, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool, for aggregate traffic — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles.
We also use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. Both set cookies, both measure at the level of an individual browser, and the Meta pixel is how we find out whether an ad we paid for actually sent anyone here. They are third-party trackers and we would rather name them than bury them under “analytics.”
You can opt out at the source via Google's Ad Settings or Meta's ad preferences, or with any decent content blocker. We won't sulk about it.
This list isn't fixed forever — as the studio grows we may add, swap or drop a vendor. When we do we'll update this page and the date on it, so it always names what's actually running.
5. Payments
Premium is handled by Gumroad as merchant of record. Your payment details go to Gumroad, not to us — we only receive a license/confirmation that a valid purchase exists.
6. What we never do
We don't sell or rent your data, we don't show you ads inside DTTAU, and we don't build or broker profiles of you as a product. DTTAU makes its money from Premium, full stop — the measurement tools above exist to tell us whether our own marketing works, not to monetise you.
Premium supporters carry less. There are no ads to remove here, so DTTAU is already lighter than an ad-supported game — but when you buy an annual or lifetime plan you're funding the app directly, and our aim is to keep the measurement on a paying account to the minimum. As we build the plumbing to drop the marketing pixels for signed-in Premium users, this section will say so specifically rather than in principle.
7. Keeping & deleting your data
We keep your logged data as long as your account is active so the app works. You can delete individual entries in-app, and you can ask us to delete your whole account and its data — email us and we'll wipe it. Some records may persist briefly in encrypted backups before rotating out.
8. Children
DTTAU isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. DTTAU is built to honor those — most of it you can do yourself in-app, and for the rest, email us.
